Note: Before starting, ensure that you have activated your HMD OffGrid device and paired it via the HMD OffGrid device. SOS will not function without an active HMD OffGrid subscription.

To raise an SOS alert from the HMD OffGrid device, press and hold the yellow SOS button for 5 seconds. A loud audible beep accompanied by three flashing red LED lights will sound for a further 5 seconds. Your SOS alert is now being sent, which is confirmed by the flashing red satellite LED.

To cancel an active SOS alert from the HMD OffGrid device, press and hold the yellow SOS button for 5 seconds. A single audible beep confirms that the SOS request has been cancelled.
